Hi guys

Could do with a bit of help here please.

I have shot footage with the HVX200 in 720PN
imported into FCP edited a test sequence
exported the test sequence as an MPEG4
However the frame size seems to be wrong.
It's the same thing as what happens when you export a still into photoshop ie I have to re size the photo to 1280 X 720.
What I mean by that is that there is no default option to put into the sequence settings for a 1280 X 720 frame size I have to put in a 960 X 720.
Very confused will copy settings up in a sec, hope ll that makes sense?

On PAL BTW

Thanks

Indy

Ok here are the settings

Footage settings

Frame size = 960 X 720
Compressor = DVC Pro HD 720p50
Pixel Aspect Ratio = HD (960 X 720)

Sequence Settings

Frame Size = 960 X 720 HD (960 X 720) HD (16:9)
Pixel Aspect Ratio = HD (960 X 720)

I've just exported a Quicktime movie of the same sequence and looked at the 'Get info' and the dimensions say 1280 X 720 which seems to be the right one?
Could it have been some setting in Compressor that I forgot to tick?

Bit confused over this 960 X 720 when it should be 1280 X 720 I think???

Thanks for any help

Indy

The DVCPROHD codec uses 960x720 as it's base and FCP then "stretches" it out to full 1280x720 when you export.
