frame rate question?

will I lose quality if I do this?

I imported my footage into final cut pro 3
did the pulldown with cinema tools
but then edited the footage at 29 fps.

Is it better to edit it at 24 fps?
do I have to do something special when I export it to quicktime?

Yes, you will lose motion quality.

If you shoot 24p then just edit 29.97 if you wish.
If you convert it to 24 (remove pulldown) then you should edit at 23.98.
If you shoot 24pa you have to remove pulldown and edit at 23.98 unless you want stuttery resultsi n motion.
