I have a gig tomorrow that is going to be filmed on two separate camera's for 2 separate purposes:
Camera 1 (Canon HFS100) will be recording a presentation, and that recording will later be shown as a training video for the company. I am going to edit in the power point so that it looks better than filming the screen, and then put it onto DVD for the client. I was planning to record it in 60i, since it is going to DVD, and from what I have read, that seems to be the best option for frame rate for a corporate training DVD (other than 30P and 24P). Is this correct?
Camera 2 (Canon 60D) will be shooting footage to later be used as B-roll in a future promotional video. I don't have any other specifics in terms of it's future usage, and I don't know who will be making this video. I was planning to shoot it in 30P, since there is no 60i option on that camera, and I figured 30P was a better option than 24P. Is this the best way to go?
I appreciate any comments you might have. This is one of the first times I've been hired to do something that is not really artsy in any way, so for this one I am moving away from 24P (unless you guys tell me that is the best option).
Thanks!
