Hello.
I'm a Final Cut guy(i guess), and know little about Premiere.
I'm doing trailers for a friend who is cutting his feature on Premiere Pro (not sure what version).
He shot the movie using an XL2 on 24p 2:3:3:2 mode - equivalent to dvx100 24pAdvanced.
But, all the .avi clips he gave me are 29.97. I'm editing on a 29.97 timeline and they all look and play great.
Whenever I capture 24p advanced clips on final cut, they become 23.976 clips.
Is it different in Premiere? He is editing the film on a 23.976 timeline.
I'm wondering if he either a) captured the clips wrong, or b) actually shot 24p Normal mode.
thanks for the help. I want to make sure he doesn't complete the edit then find out he didn't capture the source footage properly.
