Frame rate for a TV series?

We are shooting a TV series aimed at both EU as well as U.S market. So is it better to shoot at 25fps and conform it to U.S standards or do it the other way around? What is easier?

25p and conform to 24p.

And after that the show will need to be conformed to either 720p or 1080i for US TV.

We are shooting with a F3. I thought the major cable channels in U.S are full HD?

Full HD Broadcast in the USA is 1080i.

I thought the major cable channels in U.S are full HD?

Some are 1080i, some are 720p, and a whole lot of them are still standard-def.

HBO is 1080i, for example. ESPN is 720p. I don't know if there's a definitive list of which ones are 1080 and which are 720.
