Frame Rate Conversion FCP

Just the facts: I have P2 footage that was originally shot at 720p24. It was imported into FCP from the P2 card at 720p60. Now my footage is double in size. Can I convert this footage back to 720p24 and retrieve its native file size? I do not have the original P2 cards that I used, so re-ingesting is not an option.

Use the DVCPR0-HD Frame Rate Convert in the Tools menu. If it's not there, install it form the FCP 5.1 install DVD.
