Frame rate and playback different

[macs]

I just received the footage of a music video and the entire thing is in slowmotion but the frame rate doesnt match the speed of the playback. The frame rate was 36 and the play back was of a little. Now when i watch it in my 24pn timeline the music goes a little faster than the lips of the guys on the video. Any idea how to fix this?? How to accelrate the clips so the image still look nice. And how can i calculate the speed my playback was suppose to be for a video frame rate of 36.

I hope its clear!

Thanks
