Frame converting in FCP

Can I use the Panasonic Frame converter in FCP 5.1 to convert a clip in the timeline as well as the viewer? I want to frame convert just a part of a clip, not the whole clip itself.
 
Ah, its a free piece of software so you could try it out and see what happens. Without jumping through some hoops I'd have to say no though. I think the only way it do it would be to mark and in and out on your clip, export it out just between the in and out. Import the short clip back into FCP and then apply the Frame Rate Convertor to just that. So not sure all that trouble is worth it, but that's the only way I can see of doing it.

The FRC gives you the option of saving your clip as a file on your hard drive. Do it, give it a different name, then you have a seperate clip to use, free to place IN/OUT points as you wish, etc. Gives you a lot of power and flexability.
