I didn't see a specific spot on the site about selling gear, but I've seen it thrown around the threads a bit. If there's another thread let me know and I'll post it there.

But for time sake. Selling the 2 track FR-2 location recorder with 1 gig card and wall adapter
PM me or send email if interested. Unit is in near mint conditon. 6 months.

Cheers

Steve,

For DVX people I'd sell it for 1000 with compact flash and 950 without. I'd also cover the shipping for free. If you wanted insurance then it would be 15 for that.

I know you'd be very happy with the condition of the unit and it's been a trusted workhorse during this time. I would recommend only using the compact flash especially since the 4 gig card is so cheap and doing stereo 24 bit 48k you'd be able to go for 4 hours granted you had power or the NP1 adapter. I have been using
the 1 hour rechargable ones and they work great. Also the PCI timecode adapter is easy to install and it's only 400 or so. A great until for pro stuff. I did have the portabrace but I gave that to a friend along with the pelican case. Both were very nice.

Thanks

Sorry about that. I didn't see it anywhere listed as I put at the top. Please feel free to remove it or post it somewhere else.

Thanks. WHere on the site is it? and could I move it?

and btw.

love the quote.. as freedom isn't free, there's a heafty.. effin fee.... love the puppets

PM Hudson or any of the Mods and ask them to move the post. I'm not trying to be a prick, but it just screws up searching for things in the right place, but Ebay ads aren't supposed to be advertised at all, just FYI

Like I said, I'm not trying to be a prick, it just screws with searching

Yankee,

Not at all. I understand and that's why I searched first and asked at the top post. I also find comfort in someone else's use and enjoyment of the word prick. I called a woman a prick the other night and she was like... I can't be a prick and without missing a beat, I said babe, relish in it as all people can truly be a prick- it's a state of mind....

I'll go ahead and check on moving it. Thanks for the info. This forum has become like a second home online. It's just too friggin cool for words.

Well I'm a british citizen, born in Derby and lived in Nottingham so I'm very aware of the implications of saying that.. or Wanker or Pratt or such. However, being a full contact martial artist with 3 different black belts.. I'd encourage the attempt at a fist to the face. Besides, I've found that most people would just piss me off and not do any damage. I'm always up for the challenge.

So what part of the UK are you in?

El Lago,

I have one in Shaolin Kempo from High School. Chen and Wu Style Tai Chi. Ving Tsun (wing chun) Kungfu. I'm currently only going to the Ving Tsun school but I practice Tai Chi from time to time. I never do Kempo anymore. I'm also getting into Brazilian Jijitsu but that is so hard on the limbs and joints all the time... and I'm not to happy about wrestling around with a dude on the ground.

For the Ving Tsun, I have produced a bunch of videos for my Sifu. Turning out to be very popular.

How about yourself? What do you study?

Also,

I was doing some full contact fighting but at 33.. I got a bad concussion about 3 months ago and that was it. I don't think the mellon can take the pounding anymore... That's also kind of why I wanted to do some grappling. I enjoy it and hope to be able to get to do more soon. It does seem however to be hard to train in the style in the beginning... but I am a big guy so it helps. I do think that's also why the grapplers go so hard with me.. because I'm 250 and also I have a lot of ground fighting experience from wrestling and also from VT... Ving Tsun has some deadly ground fighting. We'll have to see how far I go with this.. but VT is something I intend to do for the rest of my life.. Possibly going to be teaching it after another few years.

thanks

Steve,

I rember that cold well... brrrr almost too friggin well. Well, if you come over to Orlando on holiday let me know and we can hoist a few beers. I'm actually going to be going to england next year with the new HVX to shoot a bunch of stock footage and timelapse. I also want to show the motherland to the wife and kids. Are there good and inexpensive equipment houses in UK? I'm looking for maybe some lights and grip gear for maybe 2 weeks. I'll be shooting NTSC.. so any problems with voltage.. Also, are there rigid permitting and laws/ Hassell from the cops over there?

Sorry for the questions here. But I'm so excited about crap that's going on... Especially being able to bring an HD camera through customs and have it look like a handycam. YIPPEE.

Hi Justyn,

I'm a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and just resumed training after a long time off from it. I know what you mean about not being happy "about wrestling around with a dude on the ground." When I first started that took some getting used to, but after training for a while now it doesn't feel awkward at all.

Actually, being a big guy can hurt (your technique that is). You might be currently winning sparring sessions with the help of your size advantage, but you have to remember that sparring is more about working on and refining techniques that you've learned than it is about winning. Sorry for the unsolicited advice, I'm also a 250#'er and don't want to see someone make the same mistakes I did. :) If some of the people you grapple with are always gunning to beat you and going hard with you, try telling them you want to go 1/2 or 3/4 speed with emphasis on using technique before you spar (if you haven't done that already). Once you get the basics down in BJJ it'll be a lot more enjoyable.

Wrestling skills are always great to have, particularly with take downs. Some of the toughest people I've sparred with are experienced wrestlers.

Congrats on the success of the VT videos you produced. I'm currently preparing to produce some videos for my instructor. If you have any advice for me, in particular regarding the marketing aspect for MA videos, I'd be interested in your thoughts on the subject.

Cheers,
Mike

Mike,

Send me a PM on this or an email so we can discuss it further. I'd be happy to give you my .02. my email is: justyn@electriccowtheater.

One bit of advice off the top is.. that you will be selling a lot of them to a handful of people. It's the fantics that drive this business so it's about giving them everything and more and you'll be set. I really make sure it's an awesome product and that same guy will come back again and again.. and at 50-75 per DVD, that aint' bad for your instructor. It's what keeps our school running
