And the motto of the majority of camera shooters here "I would rather be limited by my own ability than by the camera".

You said it best. The gear we use is only as good as we allow it to be. The magic comes from us the user not the tool. Wish people understood this.

And then there's the minority, like me, who say, "8K is stupid, pull your collective heads out people, talent hates 8K and it exists purely to sell you more gear that you don't need." If nobody cared about, wanted or bought 8K or whatever K will come out after it, manufacturers would actually be forced to truly innovate to get us to buy new gear.

Yep. Pretty much. And I also tell you what; chances are an Alexa or F35 will still make a better image, for those who do their job on the set and frame and stabilize their shots as they shoot them, which is the proper way of doing it anyway.
