Vampires have always been popular since the early days of cinema and The Scotts will in no doubt make a pretty cool version of a vampiric tale. 30 Days Of Night also looks pretty sweet from the director of Hard Candy.

A lot of folks would say that vampires have worn out their welcome. It was against the rules to do vampires or zombies in a horror fest I participated in.
But the concept of vampires actually has some room to grow. My friend and I filmed a short with vampires & we're drafting out a feature synopsis at the moment. I would have avoided it but the concept is actually pretty good.

I'd love to see this made, especially if Ridley is the one who directs it. He really hasn't made a film like this since Alien.

Actor!!!!!!
I was just looking up Ridley Scott on IMDB and for everything that he's got for a future release... Russell Crow is slated to be one of the cast. I guess Russell impressed the hell out of him in Gladiator...
