Found a Minolta XL 601

[CookFX Productions]

Tech department was getting rid of all this stuff and had a Super 8mm Minolta XL 601 sitting in a box. It's brand new, looks like its never been used. I just dont know what to use it for besides putting it next to my film memorbillia. How much does a reel of super 8 run?

I noticed your post and was wondering how attached you have become to the camera... my wife's cherished 601 was stolen recently and I am looking for a replacement. She had it for 20 years and was devastated when her bag disappeared. She's a die hard super-8 nut and will shoot the stuff until kodak itself is discontinued... If you have any desire to sell it, please let me know.

sorry to bother you like this... your post was one of the first things that popped up and I am scrambling...

regards,

John.

Wow, how ironic is that!

The 601 is a pretty cool camera as I recall.
