Fostex FR2LE...anyone know the quality?

Jacks and XLR

Hi folks, i have this question; anyone uses a XLR microphone powered by phantom in channel one (the fostex 2le doesn't allowed to discriminate the phantom in channel one or two) and a jack in channel two?(the manual says that not provide phantom power when a 1/4' jack is plugged and the phantom is on)
What i want is to use a lavalier wireless microphone in channel two (powerless) with the boom feeding with the phantom.
It's that possible without damage the wireless or distort the signal? Any thoughts?
I'm just began and I know that the rational and long term solution is a field mixer (I'm saving for the SD302, FM-3 Portable Field Mixer, or the premix, if the DV premix 3 and ENG 44 from signvideo is bad as they say that it is)
Cheers
PS: I'm from Argentina if you think that my english is poor...it is.
