Formats different between log and transfer and transcoded.

Just a little concerned about something. Some video was given to me that FCP 7 log and transfer identifies as 1080p24 at 29.97, but when transcoded it comes in as DVCPRO HD 1080p30 and a 29.97 video rate with a frame size of 1280x1080.

Strange also is the the playback (though in sink) seems sluggish and slow - not quite slow-mo, but sluggish.

Any ideas?
 
1080p24 at 29.97 is just that...24p look but it plays at 29.97fps. And the compressor always says 30p.

AND...DVCPRO HD is a thin raster...anamorphic...format. it doesn't shoot full raster 1920x1080...but rather 1280x1080.
