Format for a kid's show

I've been putting together a pilot for a kid's show, and we have been making a lot of notes and brainstorming ideas. Now it's time to write the script. The problem is that I am so used to the feature format, and it doesn't seem like a good fit for what we are trying to do. I normally check Script-O-Rama and IMSDb, but neither of those has the type of show that I am looking for. It's not a narrative peice like Batman, or The Wonderpets, but more like Blues Clues, or Bill Nye. Any suggestions on formatting or examples?

Seeing as you are the production company, you can use whatever format you like.

Maybe instead of feature format, more like a sitcom format?

Personally, I'd use the feature - based just out of how I'm so used to it.

Yeah, that's what I've been doing. But, after we shoot the pilot and begin the pitch-fest, I want to include additional scripts as part of the package. Just want to do the "industry standard" thing.

Well I'd do pretty much do what you're doing already.

Searching sites like Drews, Simplyscript, dailyscript and screentalk and stuff and just pull scripts that match the show style you are going for and copy that format.

Not sure if it helps, but we just shot a kid's show pilot as well. Check out the link in my sig, for It Really Happened.

Wow Brandon, that stuff looks great. I look forward to hearing how it all pans out.

How did you work the financing?

How do you plan to pitch/market it?

Thanks for the link.

It cost us very little to produce (less than 20k) and we got financing through the owner of the production company here.

We have various connections to some pretty big children's programming networks, and they've actually been asking us to do a show like this for a long time, so we are hoping the end product is as good as we think it can be :)
