so just a location...,
- coming of age story or middle aged trip down memory lane
- a hero's journey or sword and sorcery adventure or sword and sandals
- a lame horror movie, a trip going wrong
- war film/predator like action film
- people trying to escape their problems in a forest, to discover their real problems
- a period peace with an adventure in a forest
- samurai/ninja war or revenge story

Besides some typical "haunted forest" or "murderer chasing teens through the woods" type...
They stumble upon a dead body rolled up in a carpet..... maybe they unroll it out of curiosity(if they're "troubled teens" perhaps?) to find out it's someone they recognize, or their boss they sent death threats too at work, or a characters parent who was missing for a while now but they thought they were just at work late, etc... there's my initial half-assed thoughts on that one.
or
they come across an execution about to happen ....take it from there.
maybe it's someone they know about to be killed, or as the killer, or the killer notices them (they make a sound) or victim (if they weren't blindfolded) etc...
or
something stranger like a character feels drawn to this forest on a walk home from work/school. .... they keep going back and getting strange vibes from it, then have nightmares or visions about it, only to find out it's where they died Or where they killed a and buried a bunch of people in a ....wait for it ....... past life. then get all deep/spiritual or whatever, haunted by the "sins of the past", there's your title too. ha
or the bear sex orgy idea.
