Even when Christopher Guest and company are not at their best (A Mighty Wind), they are still more funny than 99% of the comedies made today. I can't wait for this movie.

Does anyone remember Christopher Guest on SNL? I think it was around '83. Billy Crystal, Martin Short, Harry Shearer. What an amazing year for that show. If you haven't seen it, rent the best of '83 for the 60 Minutes piece on The Minkmans. The kings of novelty manufacturing. Good stuff.:)
 
can't wait to see it. it opens nationwide Weds. and I'm going to see it that day. Looks funny.

i liked the SNL synchronized swimmer's sketch. LOL
 
I was dissappointed by the film. Most of the funny stuff was in the trailer. I liked Michael McKean's line "Don't throw the baby out with the bath water, cause then you'll have a wet critically injured baby". It was a let down compared to Christopher Guests other work. I'd wait to rent it or wait for HBO to see it for those who haven't already.
 
Well, I've been looking forward to this one. But since I seldom plant my a$$ in a movie theater to watch a movie, I guess I'll probably wait for the DVD.

Saw it today.

It was fun, but I enjoyed 'Best in Show' more, and 'A Mighty Wind' a *lot* more.

I guess I'm not a good audience for movies about the movie business; I don't want to sit in a theater and be reminded of work...
