For You 3D and RUSH Fans

Yes, I'm a RUSHAholic as well! I went to the Presto tour and was blown away with Neil's drum solo, simply amazing.

Did no one else expect to open this thread and find a 3D rendering of Rush @ EVS?

During the eighties I played drums and was a disciple of Peart. Rush is HARD. Anyone can drum 4/4. Try a few bars of 4/4, then 6/4, then 4/4 again. And you're not playing pansy-ass jazz -- you gotta ROCK at the same time.

When I was in an industrial band in the early nineties we would throw in a few bars of 3/4 just to mess up those dancing. Probably why you don't see people dancing to Rush.

cool. I like 3D, but I have been just learning Maya, I would like to mix real film with 3D, that would be cool

Or 7/8, which is what most of YYZ is in..

I've been drumming for 28 years and am a HUGE NP and Rush fan. Been to over 23 of their shows.

I did! I was like, "Boy someone musta gone to a lot of trouble to do that!"

Man that looks cool! Kinda feels like a project I am doing for the drummer Stephen Perkins from Jane's Addiction. We used 2 20' jimmy-jibs on a studio shoot I DP'd, and we got similar fluid motion and perspectives, it looks almost 3D, because the jimmy's are just so smooth!

You nailed the drumming. Does anyone in the states even know who Rush is?
I guess a couple.

That was very nice.

Those guys played the local pub here many years back and I've seen them since in proper concert whatever since then.

Again, that was cool. Enjoyed it.

Wow, there's more drummers on here than I thought.... I've played for about 5 years now.... I can play two songs from Rush, "Tom Sawyer" and "Subdivisions", everything else is way to complicated for me (lol).... but anyway, this was pretty awsome..... the first video (I've seen) of animated drumming that is just about in perfect sync and correct movement/placement.
