Unrelated to the musical news...I had coincidentally just finished watching Rocky on blu-ray when Pookie posted that. Anyway, the disc had absolutely NO special features so I went on youtube and came across this, Stallone telling the story of the making of the film, which is nealy as inspiring as the film itself--

Surprised this doesn't include the story of the "scared" scene in the bed right before the big fight. Supposedly the producers didn't want to shoot it because they felt it made Rocky too weak, but Stallone & Avildsen insisted. So they used the same camera setup from another scene and they did it in one take. Possibly the most important scene in the film ("I just want to go the distance") and he only got one take.

It's kind of astonishing that such a grungy, low budget film was the highest grossing film of that year, 1976, earning what today would be 438 million dollars. I'm not even sure the film would get distributed in theaters today.
