For International Travel: Cheap LED light kit vs. Rifa Kit

I'm planning on travelling internationally in a couple of weeks and I need to quickly purchase a lighting kit that will enable me to shoot 1-2 person interviews.
New LED on-camera lights that are cheap but are rather bright (around 2000 lux) and dimmable and can be mounted on light stands are a possible solution. I'm going to test it out soon at home, but I just ordered an F&V 300 Led with milk diffusion filter: http://www.fvlighting.com/store/lighting/led/r300.html

I already own two supercheap Yongnuo 300 from China/ebay lights that I've been impressed with overall which can serve as the other two lights in a compact kit: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yongnuo-YN-...974?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f2003bea6

I'm hoping I can light decent interviews with just these 3 lights and a reflector. But I've not seen this used anywhere, only the suggestion on the cheesycam and Oliviatech websites that this is a legit solution: http://oliviatech.com/samples-from-fv-r-300-led-ring-light-and-comparison-with-600-led-panel-2

I'm wondering though if I should bite the bullet and finally get a real light kit... or at least a basic one. My other idea was to buy a Rifa 550 with a floodlight that comes in a kit that Lowell makes: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/285887-REG/Lowel_LCP_955_Rifa_eX_55_Pro.html

On the one hand, the Rifa 500w softbox is a tried and true way of lighting a 1-2 person interview, and I'll have the 200w flood and some LEDs for the backlight/background. On the other hand, I don't know how difficult it will be for me to do it all myself in the time I'll have -- maybe 1/2 hour at most, probably less, to set up. AND it's a lot more money I'll have to spend, AND I'll need to buy 240w bulbs, AND I'll have to lug around a heavy case and check it in. But there is also the 'unknown' factor -- is it safe to just plug one of these lights into a consumer Edison-UK or Edison-Euro adapter?

The interviews will be in or around hotels. I'm thinking these hotels will allow me to use a little out of the way space for the interviews, but I don't know for sure. They may be a little more wary about my using real lights. Ideally I'd use a window as a key light, but then I'd need lights more powerful as fill than LED lights of 2000 lux. I could shoot outdoors, but then it's going to be possibly harder to control crowds/chaos, and I won't be able to use anything other than an on-camera light and/or reflector (on a stand with ankle weights to hold it down).

Anyone have some advice or experience they can share?

Hi,

do you mind sharing what you ended up going for? I am looking for some LED setup for interviews when travelling. So i'm exactly at the same boat. Would appreciate if you could post a link to the video where you used those cheap Yongnuo 300 and write couple of lines on what worked and what does not.

Cheers,
Denis.
