For indie filmmaking: ZoomH4n or Marantz PMD661?

I've been reading good things about both of these field recorders. For people who have ears-on experience with either (sound samples are tough to find online), which do you like? Is the Marantz worth the extra $?

I'm looking for a recorder for indie shorts, corporate pieces, so that's a lot of dialog, not as much music.

I have yet to play with these so hopefully my assumption is incorrect but often the problem with many of these little guys is the small hissing noise you'll hear because of low costing electronics in the input stage. It's easy to discount the small hiss in the beginning, but it's there, and it will ruin your quiet passage tracks; you won't be a happy camper.

I would spend some time with one (rent?) before buying because of this. Alternative solutions are using a DVX for audio recording, they're actually fairly clean sounding. Then you need to step up to around $1200 to $1800 for an Oade Brothers converted new recorder: Tascam, etc... or go all out for an SD, etc.
