I have the Glidecam2000...moving beyond the basics...what do you guys use for audio? Do you still plug into the camera, because that's throwing me off balence. Anybody use an external recorder? if so what? and how does it compare to the dvx's recording?

Thanks

I still plug into the camera. I tape the cables to the top of the handle near the center, and leave a slack loop before I clip the cables to my shoulder, then again to my belt, so I get as little resistance as possible.

i run wireless from the shotgun, or lavs , and have the recievers on the sled.

Word. I think I'm going with the slack loop idea. Thanks guys.

You will need someone to move those wires if your moving left/right around things and so on.  I've seen folks using the wireless system fairly well, just either velcro the receiver to the dvx top or gaffer tape it.  Let me know if the boom slack/loop system works out well.  Thanks.
