For close up shots of a prop gun: blank pistol or airsoft gun?

So I got my Tokyo Mauri cz75 today. It's got an orange tip that extends past the barrel. Even if I were to paint it black it'd still look a little unrealistic because it'd look like the barrel is sticking out too far.

What do you guys do in this situation? Just paint over it and hope the viewer doesn't notice? Or hack saw off the tip?

If it extends past the barrel, that means it most likely has a screw-on flash suppressor attached. You might not be able to see it very well, because they may have painted over the evidence. Try using paint remove to get the orange off, and then see if you can get it off. It should be reverse-screwed 14mm, and come off with a little coaxing and WD40. Unless I'm completely wrong and it is part of the gun, in which case I apologize for getting your hopes up :).

www.airsplat.com has the best selection and prices that I have seen. Customer service is awesome and I got my gun in 3 days instead of the 5-7 days they state. And the gun is as real as I have ever felt. I own 3 real guns and The airsoft feels and looks the same. Just make sure you get an ALL metal, Blowback. Prices start around $100 or so. The plastic guns are much cheaper and they are probably not what youre looking for.

go with the metal airsoft gun i swear to god you wont regret it, last year i was into airsoft and had a plastic sniper rifle and went to a mega airsoft store and there was a 200$ metal airsoft gun, he left me handle it with no bullet and when i pulled the trigger it acculaly had a recoil!!!! mind you it was electric but still pretty good for movies i think
