For all you gear heads out there.

If anyone out there likes to op the wheels, this goes out to you. It's not quite finished but it's good a -freakin'- nuff.

Information on these puppies is rare to find, and anyone that knows the history is getting old. So here it is, my attempt to preserve cinematographic history. Since there is so little info out there, anything I've gotten wrong may just become truth for future generations... so I'll take bribes to rename models after your girlfriends or something.

enjoy.

ps, let me know what you think, and how long it took for this link to work. The pdf is only 6.5mb, but it seems to take like 30 seconds to prompt the download window. Hmmmmm.

Pretty cool link.

I opened it in a new tab in Firefox, nothing showed up for quite a while before it felt like loading. Right clicking and saving the link started immediately.

Download prompt was fast. got around 50kb/s. Informative PDF. Thanks for sharing Ryan.

It would be interesting to see if an engineer/designer of today with no prior exposure to previous systems, put their mind and pen to paper; and see what they would come up with now... if it would be a refinement of the original designs (like most now) or a completely different system.
