I have a shot planned for my short film that starts as a medium shot of a man eating at a dining table then cranes downward below the table to see the man's bloody footless leg. How can I pull off this effect? I wanted the shot to be continuous from the shot of him above the table eating to the shot below the table viewing his blood dripping leg with his foot seemingly sawed off.
I figured I'd get a leg halloween prop, cut the foot off at the ankle, then dress it up to look bloody, then put the leg in the pant leg of the actor. However, being that I wanted the shot to be continuous without cutting, how can the actor's real leg be disguised and replaced with the prop leg?
