Footage of directors working

I've watched a lot of films, interviews from directors i love and am influenced by. But i never really seen them working, directing actors on set and so on. Can anyone direct me to certain making of films or any other footage i can get? I'm most interested in non traditional working methods, from directors like Reygadas, Fellini, Tarkovsky, Weerasethkul, Wong Kar Wai and so on. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

I'd also love to see this. I love to see behind the scenes stuff. Sadly, the only extensive behind-the-scenes-director-actor-type-thing I've seen was the atrocity that is Twilight. I did see a little clip on Youtube about Christopher Doyle's use of light in In the Mood for Love, but it's not really about Wong Kar Wai directing.

Yes, i've seen the one with Doyle, still was really interesting. I love the films he shot, also he's one of the true great cinematographers working today. Would be awesome to see those guys direct. Particularly if Wong doesn't write scripts, how does it all come together? I heard from an interview with Doyle, that he only knows what he wants when he sees it. I mean how do you work like that on a set? How do you inspire confidence to your crew when you don't know what you're doing. Don't get me wrong i think this is a very natural and real way to shoot, i am completely with him that the real emotions only come at a particular moment. But if you have a crew with you all the time, does he simply wander and search for what he wants? If anyone knows any more details about his working methods, let me know! :)

There's a nice book called "Moviemaker's Master Class" which features interviews with Wong kar Wai, Godard, Coen Brothers and many more. Each is asked the same questions: how do you work with actors? How do you work on the script? How do you decide how to shoot a scene? Etc, very interesting.

No problem. You're gonna love seeing how he deals w/ Brando. It's a wonder he kept his sanity after leaving the jungle....

if I were Coppola I might have bashed his head in with a rock and banked the insurance money (which nearly happened with Klaus Kinski....search for Killing Mr. Kinski on youtube).

Just watched Heart of Darkness, some great insight there. Made me want to rewatch Apocalypse Now. Any other good making ofs?

There are few really good moments in the extended Lord of the Rings making of. About 9 hours of behind the scenes stuff there about the whole process. But there is some of PJ working with actors.
