Footage import problem in PP2.0

Hey guys, I'm having an issue. I import a clip and it only imports a bit of it. Precisely 1.33 mins but it's a good half an hour long. And in vegas it's seen just fine. And even in bridge it shows up normal, but Premier cuts it down. Any ideas?

Are you importing or capturing the footage? If your importing, check your preferences and make sure you have space on your scratch disk. Maybe you have a Type 1 AVI file and premiere uses Type 2. Sounds odd. Is it HD or SD footage?

It's HD footage, I don't see anything wrong with the settings and loads of space availabled over 100 gb's easily.

Did you initially capture the file in Premiere? If all else fails try to re-capture the footage and see what happens.

30 minutes might be larger than 2 Gigs.

Is your hard drive set up for NTFS or Fat32?

There is a 2 Gig file limit on Fat32.

What kind of HD footage?

Is your project set up properly for HD?

My Drive is NTFS, Footage is a cineform intermediate avi, and the project was set up as Cineform HD 1440/1080 24p (24fmode). The cineform plug in is now expired and I can't even preview it anymore. But still I don't know why I'm having this issue. The limit of NEFS and FAT32 is from where you import the footage from or the drive that premier is installed on? Thanks.

Just for the sake of clarity, Fat32 has a 4 gb limit. BigMike may be thinking of .avi type1, which has a 2 gb limit.

What is going on? The same thing just happened to me I captured a thirty minute clip and only forty seconds of it show up in Premiere. You can play the whole thing with windows media player. Check the properties in Premiere and it says 40 seconds long check the properties in windows explorer and it says it is thirty minutes long. I have deleted it re-imported it re-captured it and nothing works. This is a fresh install on a new system. I just don’t get it. It was captured with Premiere and Premiere is the only program that can’t see it. It is standard DV not HD. Can anyone shed some light on this?
