I don't know what is happening with my Quicktime player, but before I attempt a re-install of it, I figured I would eliminate FCP as a problem.
So the issue is this: On my camera, and in Final Cut Pro in the Viewer window the footage looks as it should... however in the Quicktime player...
the footage is either 640x480... and looks like the gain has been boosted (???) or it is anamorphic sized to 853x480... when it was never shot anamorphically...
this only happens in QT Player... it also reports the original size of the footage incorrectly.
In final cut all the settings are reported correctly and it displays using the correction aspect ratio and the 0.9 pixel size for 720x480.
Now this clearly seems like a problem with my QT Player... but I figuerd I would ask incase anyone else has experienced this problem..
ideas?
