Food Poisoning

Anyone had to battle this beast? I've been puking my guts up since about 10am and just got home from a trip to the ER. Good times!
 
I too have had food poisoning. The best thing to do is just get plenty of rest and drink lots of water to replenish lost fluids.

Me too... I can still remember that Thanksgiving... now that I think about it... with all that went on that weekend... it could be my next movie... or at least a really short short...
 
Mmmmm... I can still taste those bloody screaming rare cheeseburgers at Calico Jacks! Got food poisoning once or twice from there. The frozon pizza though, that had to be the worst! it not only took me out, but the wife and 3 kids too. People puking everywhere!
 
Rest and water are really good advice. I 've got to the point after being on the road for so many years in so many places, I just try to control whenI get hit,'cause you know you are gonna get hit with it.And it always feels horrible. Good health in the future and be sure to include "Very Well Done!" if you ever eat somewhere strange . It probably won't make a difference just keeps you aware .And carry your favourite chemical remedy with you in the grip bag.

Ha thanks for the advice guys. I'm feeling better this morning. They ended up pumping me full of 2 iv bags of saline and a bunch of anti-nausea meds that they give chemo patients to get the puking to stop. They said it was most likely a combo of food poisoning and a viral infection at the same time, so a double whammy.

I think i'll maybe just never eat anything again :)
 
About eight years ago I had a bad case of food poisoning hit me in the middle of the night. The next morning, I was scheduled to fly to Minneapolis...I did. And literally spent the whole flight in the restroom. The flight attendant tried to get me back to my seat for landing...but it wasn't happening. The ordeal lasted a full 24 hours. The first day of my training, I was so weak, I couldn't keep my head up.

It was a bummer because I always enjoyed going to Minneapolis and this trip, when I wasn't in training classes was spent in my hotel room. I have to say, this is the worst I have EVER felt. Took about a week to recover...
 
The last time that happened was years ago from White castle and the time before that... white castle... I never eat there anymore.
 
emitrol and someone mentioned pedilyte after. i had it, this year also. 3 long days, hope you feel better KAI. HAVEN'T SEEN YOU LATELY!

I believe Barry Green also had an "incident" at White Castle :)
 
I've never had food poisioning that I know of.

I haven't had a cold or the flu since childhood. Weird, now that I think of it.


Hell, I've never even had a computer virus.


I'm super Cyber-Human!!!

Ha man I know, i've been crazy busy lately. I drop in an check the boards everyday, but haven't had as much time as i'd like to post. I'm still here though! :beer:
