follow shots with XHA1 + Letus?

I'm having a hard time keeping my rig steady when attempting follow shots with my XHA1 and Letus adapter. is there any hardware out there that won't run me a grand plus that will stabilize my follow shots? I have a shoulder mount but it does nothing for stabilization when following. I can stabilize better going handheld than using the shoulder mount.

What lens are you using?

I used to have a letus on my HPX, and managed to have ok steadi shot hand held. I would hold the camera from the handle with one hand and use my laft hand to hold the camera from the base plate, and put the back of the camera agains my chest to keep it as stable as possible... worked out for me... or you can rent an easy rig (but never used it on this set up)...
