So for no other reason than it would be fun to do so, we here at the ad agency/design firm Coudal Partners decided to shoot this little short film I'd written. We've got a little side blog thing that we'll be posting roughs and production notes and whatever else we think to put up. Shooting on the DVX, so thought a mention of it here might be appropriate.
 
Yeah, right there on the left. Just some roughs and outtakes for now. We don't want to give away the joke until the short is finished. There are also some behind the scenes stuff within the blog postings, shot by a guy who was here with his little tiny Sony camcorder.
 
The footage of the DVX accident was heart-wrenching. Is it ok? :(

Those windows are really over-exposed. Do you plan on doing some color correcting in post?
 
Sorry I didn't get back right away. Yeah, the camera wound up being fine after the fall. The only problem was that we'd rented the anamorphic lens, and that popped off, leaving the inner mounting ring on the camera, and the lens (luckily not scratched) across the floor. One of the screws had also fallen out of the mounting, so we had to run out and buy a couple of eyeglass repair kits to repair it (the screws were that tiny). Luckily, everything worked to our favor. But yeah, my heart sank when it went down. Ouch.

The windows were shot to be super over exposed, yeah, and from the coloring tests we've done, it looks pretty good. I shot a music video in the space that kind of used that same idea: http://ic.funk.nu/Quicktime/lightfmtest8.mov
