Well, I know Dan is working with Dennis at Cinevate on their FF, but it isn't quite out yet. I believe it's close as Dennis has talked about the prototype and even has a pic of it up. If it's anything like their other products, it should be a nice piece.

Although Dan knows a lot more about it, obviously. But he's probably sworn to semi-secrecy.

not sure what you mean when you say behind the lens hood, but have you checked out the Redrock Micro one. its pretty nice.

The redrock goes underneath with rods the support goes from back to front of the cam. the one from www.hysonfilms.com the support goes from front to back of the cam if that makes sense.
