I have a couple of questions about the market for a couple of types of DV accessories.
At the moment I have the opportunity to get some help from friends who have an advanced machine park available and are also willing to help me design and develop accessories for video and film cameras.
Now what I would like to know is, if anyone could make any rough estimates here, what the size of the market is for :
1. Lower end of prosumer market like cheap follow focus, rods base, etc.. (+- 500 dollars for ff).
2. Medium end market like chrosziel products for prosumer cameras (+- 1500 dollars for ff).
3. High end market, mainly for film cameras with a high price range.
Are these products sold in relatively high quantities such as 100 units per month or would the number be much lower than that such as only 10 or even lower than that? And if I would start out with a product that has a reasonable quality-cost ratio in what numbers would you advice me to produce in?
