Fog machine/hazer recommendations?

[Michael Solomon]

So typically this a rental item. But in my spare time a group of friends and myself are just messing around shooting for fun. I would love to get a fog machine/hazer to add to some of our shots.

Do you guys have any recommendations for fog machines/hazers under the $100 mark? Also looking for suggestions for specific fog fluids etc.

Or is there a better alternative to fog machines that I'm not aware of such as powder etc.?

I tried to find a source for SAFEX smoke powder in the US, which was recommended by user postmaster on this site but could not find it for sale in the USA. I did find similar smoke powders for mines in paintball, but I'm not sure if it is the same stuff. However I did find that through B&H Rosco sells a "fine" fog fluid that you can use in regular fog machines that is thinner and works as haze. I'm going to take a visit to party city this week and grab a cheap party fogger and give it a try with the rosco fluid.
