Focus ring has started rubbing

Hey guys,

Kind of new to maintance issues. My 100B's focus ring has started rubbing recently, like there is a high spot or something. Other than some compressed air, i am not sure where to begin. Any suggestions or solutions from experiance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.
 
what is it rubbing on? Is it internally rubbing? You might just try spinning it for a couple of minutes and see if it works itself out.
 
Yeah, its got to be something internal. I am not sure what it is rubbing on. My guess is that the ring has a "channel" that it lives in and its rubbing either in front of it or behind it, I can't see where it is rubbing. Visualy everything looks fine when you spin it. I wonder if it is possible for something to warp? I did have it in Nicaragua a few weeks ago, but the problem I noticed last night.
