I was reading the various older threads on the Firestore Focus FS-100 100GB NTSC Portable recorder for the Panasonic AG-HVX200 camera and how this particular model being NTSC doesn't work with the PAL version of the Panasonic AG-HVX200 camera.
I purchased a Firestore Focus FS-100 100GB NTSC Portable recorder for my PAL Panasonic AG-HVX200 camera from a Canadian company called Vestek who sold me the unit on ebay UK for $600 CA plus shipping (£37 UK Pounds) and I had to pay £85.50 UK Pounds Customs/Import Duties to the Post Office in order I could collect the package.
After reading the many threads on this forum and some posts on the internet I discovered there is a company in the UK who will accept a Firestore Focus FS-100 100GB NTSC Portable recorder and switch it so it becomes a PAL version..
The cost of the switch from NTSC to PAL is £80 UK Pounds plus V.A.T.
This company also provide spare parts and replacement parts.. My LCD screen looks as if it is faulty with lines on it so as this company has a couple spare in stock they suggested they would take a look at it and if it needs replacing they could do that for a minimal cost along with switching the unit over from NTSC to PAL for me.

This company Holdan Limited is actually not that far from where I live in Cheshire in the UK about 1 hour drive away but I've decided rather than drive there to box it up and ship it to them on a turn around and hopefully get the unit switched from NTSC to PAL and returned to me within a week.
I've just boxed it up and going to the local post office to ship the Firestore Focus FS-100 100GB NTSC Portable recorder to their business address with letter and returns no. enclosed.
I'll make a second post to inform forum members how I got on when the unit has been switched from a NTSC to PAL so folk who wish who have one of these units or wish to make a purchase from eBay to acquire one of these units understand the process involved and the eventual outcome of the switch/conversion.
