Do dv cameras transmit information like focal legth over FireWire and if so what software can view it. One of the big shortcoming of prosumer dv cameras I noticed today is if I want to go back to a previous focal length its all guess work.
It'd be nice if they saved EXIF data somehow like current digital still cameras do... Of course, it'd be nice if P2 cards were $5 too, but it's not going to happen. =(
