Flying with a light kit

I will be flying next week and need to take my Lowel Super Ambi Light kit. Does anyone should I have any concerns? I don't want to assume I can just show up and check it through....although I hope I can!

Have it shipped to your destination. FedEx does an excellent job shipping equipment across country and around the world. Plus, you can package it yourself so you know that they kit will arrive at your destination in one piece. Trust me on this one, it's well worth the extra expense.

Depends what you call 'world'. I tried to ship something to Czech Republic - not exactly the backwoods of Europe (even a EU member now).

fedex delivers to only three cities in CR, the cost is too high, and any insurance is extra. Don't believe their marketing hype. Reality is somewhat different once you ask for something out of ordinary.

However, if you want to ship within North America, Fedex is the best way to go.

P.S. - I ended up putting my Lowel Kit into a Pelican case and checking it. Had absolutely no problem.
