Flying w/ camera, stock, etc.

OK, I know I've read a thread or two somewhere about this, but I can't seem to track it down, so let me ask a couple of basic flying questions.

1. Any problem with the camera and the security x-ray? My camera will be my carry on, got a small enough bag, doubt this is an issue, but rather ask than not.

2. Stock - Both raw & shot. It'll be in my checked bag, any x-ray problems there?

3. Any thing else I should think of?

Sorry if these seem obvious, but I HATE to fly, and I've managed to avoid it for a good long time, so I haven't really considered any of these issues.

Thanks

Your film will be fine.

The machines don't do anything to digital film.

Make sure your bag qualifies as an overhead bin size before you get to the airport. IE dementions. If you have a soft case and you do have to check it because of it's size things might get broken...not to mention humidity/temp conditions under the plane and what they will do to the camera.

Just call ahead for the spacific airlines overhead bagage size requirements and you should be fine.
