Flycam stabilizing question. Need your advice please.

Stab

I have bought a Flycam Nano because of the small size/weight of the GH3 I have.

I've watched some tutorials about how to stabilize it and I've come pretty far but can't seem to get the finishing touch right.

Right now, it is 'perfectly' balanced in the 'shooting position'. When I pick it up straight, with the handle in the back and the camera pointed forwards, it is stable... But, rotating the camera 90 degrees or even 180 degrees messes it up and the makes the camera tilt forwards/to the left.

My question is, is this normal? The camera is not a perfectly squared shape so is it even possible to balance it in 'all directions'?

Because I believe that this causes the 'drifting' effect when I'm walking with the steadicam, left right left right.

Anyone knows more about this? Or other tips/advice?

Sounds like you haven't found the exact center of the balance, and that you may be top or bottom heavy. The camera DOES have an absolute center in terms of balancing for both left-ride and fore-aft. It may not be perfectly over the threaded mount on the bottom (especially the fore-aft) but that's why the stage has different mounting holes and the ability to adjust both directions.

You've probably already seen this old Cheesycam video, but in case you haven't:
