Well, Cool lights are out of stock on most fluorescents, so I think I might go for these ones:

They are just about the size I need, with all the features I could want at a price I can afford. Also they are portable, and energy efficient. The only thing I'm not sure about is the Ballast :Single 45Khz High-Frequency specs. Not really sure whether that means they are region specific or what (I am from Australia).

Seems to be a reputable seller, so I am almost sold.

You can also get a 6 bank switchable unit for about half the price. It has fixtures for mounting vertically or horizontally

(They used to have a 4 bank but I'm not seeing it.)

And now for a report from the only one empowered to report stock at Cool Lights... ;-)

Actually we are not out of stock of most fluorescents. We have all portables in stock as of now. Studio models back in stock soon.

Richard good news and thanks for being a member of the site. Its nice to see companies such as yours so involved and interested in what your users have to say.

Your welcome Lee. Thats the only way to do it these days. And we do comment or help on a wide variety of things from time to time including those that have nothing to do with or have any benefit for our company as well.

Well all the studio fluorescent lights I looked at were out of stock, I know there were other models in stock, but just not the type I was after. I did go back a minute ago, and couldn't access the http://www.coollights.biz/ website for some reason.

Our webhost must be doing some maintenance right now. I guess I was confused about what you were looking for and what you thought we didn't have because the link you posted was for a lightweight location fixture kind of like a diva clone and a similar idea to our portables. In any case, good luck with it if you get it.
