Fluorescent night shots?

hello is it safe to use natural fluorescent lights at outdoor night shots after i white balance without getting that green tint look .thanks
 
Depends on what other sources might be mixed in from other lights or in the background, but for the most part, it should be no problem.

Cheap easy way to get soft light at night.

I am over seas in Thailand and I am experiencing some severe flickering due to flourecent lights in a room. is there a way to adjust the DVX100A so that it eliminates or tones down that flickering. Anyone??
 
If Thailand is a 50 hz power country you could try setting the shutter speed to 25/1 or 50/1 if it is possible.
 
Or you could set up the Synchro Scan and keep dialing shutter speeds until you find one that minimizes the flicker or makes it go away completely. It may never go away, they might just be really cheap fluorescents.
