Fluid Head Rebuild

I just scored an O'Connor fluid head and tripod. The head is a Model 30, and while it seems to work fine, it probably needs a little fluid + TLC considering it's age. Does anyone know of any resources for doing this yourself, or alternatively a good place to get a head like this serviced?

Also, the mounting plate is designed for a larger diameter mounting screw than what goes in the DVX100. I just went to the hardware store and found something that fits. Are these plates standardized at all? I was wondering if I could score one with smaller holes or something along those lines.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the info, I may check out the manufacturer angle.

Here is a photo, in case you are wondering what a DVX looks like on such a huge tripod.
I guess I am going to have to get a matte box or something to butch up the DVX a bit.
