Flowtech FSB-10 for long lens work?

I currently have a Manfrotto 504HD that I've been using for a few years, it was my step up from the old Manfrotto 501.
I'm ready to step up to something better, specifically because after using some other sachtler and vinten tripods, I realize how much better things can be. Specifically when doing long lens work.

I like the FSB series because they continue to use the Manfrotto plates that all my other accessories use.

Will the FSB-10 be enough to handle long lens filming? Right now i'm using an FS5 coupled with a Sigma 150-600.

Thanks

I don't think the FSB-10 is enough for critical work at 600mm. When you get into the 600mm, 800mm, 1200mm ranges, you can introduce camera shake almost just by thinking too hard. The Flowtech 100's are great. I've had a pair since they came out in '18. Very rigid with essentially no backlash, but I'd get a larger head than the FSB-10. And get rid of the Manfrotto. I have a client with some of those 504's and it is one of the worst tripod heads that I've ever operated.

If you want Sachtler, DV12SB and the Flowtech 100s are so good and you NEED good for long lens work. Honestly, I've rented and been loaned all of the FSB heads and they are not in the same league as the DV heads and the Flowtech legs are pretty much the best low to medium end legs made right now.
The FSBs are plasticky versus metal on the DV heads and the movement, especially tilt on the FSBs is not good, it's rough and not precise. I've owned the DV6SB for fifteen years, it's still going strong, they don't make it anymore, replaced by the FSBs, but they still
make and sell the DV12SB, which is a great head. I think the DV heads are just as good as Video 18/20 heads, just in smaller and lower capacity packages. The FSB heads are simply not the same level. Better than the junk ACEs but not nearly as good as the DVs.

If you're coming from Manfrotto, any Sachtler is a huge step up, they are probably the worst heads in the market short of consumer junk.

I've been using an FSB8 with a 600mm, 1200 on a GH5, for several years. It is stable and smooth. There are situations where I'd prefer something larger, but more for the mass, for the extra weight. When I was using an FS7 it was a bit of a stretch, the weight as well as balance issues with that body and lens. I'd think the FSB 10 would more than cover your needs.
