Flourescent + Bounce or a Lowell Kit

Hi,

I run a small production company and we do single person interviews, short films, and the occasional still photography. I'm trying to decide on the best light kit to serve these purposes.

I've looked at getting some type of kino/coollights 4 bank light with a bounce or a lowell kit with two omni's and one tota.

My main concerns are price, transportability, and flexibility in their uses.

Thoughts?

Single person interviews (which I tend to do a lot of) and still photography generally need 2-5 lights. No biggie. A short film could easily need a dozen depending on subject matter and staging. VERY different things.

For my single person interviews, my most common setup is a softbox a bounce fill, and maybe a hair light. I might use a backlight depending on the space I'm in. With film, you're not only lighting the person, you're lighting the space they're in. That may be bathroom, a kitchen, or a gymnasium. It's dictated by the script.
