Hey all
Not sure if there are any Florida actors on here, or anyone that has produced anything in Florida, but I'm trying to find out since this is a right-to-work state, if it's worth going the SAG route to find talent for a short film I'm producing. Seems the vibe is I'll have a better reach going non-union, but curious if anyone on here has any experience down in this neck of the woods?
One other question: I was looking at some of the casting websites and you can only choose between non-union or SAG, and not both. Can anyone advise on what to put if you are in a non-union state? If I'm understanding this correctly, you can hire a SAG actor in Florida outside of SAG, so does it mean I would attract more (and better) actors if I just put SAG?
Cheers.
