Hi,

im a noob when it comes to lighting, I've ordered 2 new micro beams (a 512 and 1024) with v mount plate, just wondering what batteries would be suitable for this?

if anyone could also recommend a charger/ 2 batteries it would be much appreciated. I need it to be Australian voltage, thanks

Matthew, price and performance-wise I've been really happy with the batteries and chargers I've bought from globalmediapro. They're based in New Zealand, so voltage, plug and other issues are no big deal.

Warning: have had a very bad experience with this company regarding batteries...

I ordered 3 batteries and a charger from Germany, where customs told me they were not allowed to be transported by plane (being big Li-ion batteries). So they send them back.
Now Globalmediapro claims I failed to pick them up and that "they suspect" the package was lost on its way back. (No tracking nr. for the returning parcel provided by them). And now they told me to just put up with the loss and be quiet: 1100 USD.

The question of customs may sound as an EU-only problem. But making business with this company doesn´t seem to be a good idea in general.

If you never let your hands on that package, it can never be your problem what happens to it.... the loss is theirs entirely and you should sue them if they fail to refund you. They will lose the case straight away...

Also reading some of their FAQ... like the EU vat part, it's clear that they have no idea what they are doing.

I would definitely not buy from that company based on this story and that website.
