How would you best go about creating the floating feather effect, like in Forrest Gump. Is it possible with After Effects?
 
That feather was CG inorder to control it.
Tricky part would be do you want to find some complicated way to shoto a feath floating? IE Greenscreen maybe a fan/wind tube to keep it floating, or you could just get a stilland keyframe its pos.
Maybe take a green cloth, hold the feath by its tail and twist it and move it around and just play with scale.

Its doable if you can do it :P
