Flo Light LED 1000

I had a bad experience w/prompter people standing behind their LEDs.

Theier 500 LED was 4300k, not 5600k as advertised.

When I mentioned it, they said "send it back".

I did, and when they sent it back to me it was exactly the saem.

Beware.

ETA:, I would look into the Coollights LED 600s

They are fantastic and Richard DOES stand behind his products.

The LED 600 softbox does come with an eggcrate. All our softboxes come with a fabric eggcrate and diffusor as a standard part of it.

The LED 600 is stronger than the LED 1000 according to some of our customers that have both. For the price and what all accessories it includes and are available for it, its a no-brainer which to go with ;-). Now if we can just get them back in stock in the USA!

Putting a dimmer on a fluorescent fixture won't hurt it, is just won't operate properly. Dimming a flo fixture requires a dimmer as part of the ballast circuit. To avoid issues with color shift, you are better off with a bank selectable fixture. Simpler and cheaper.
btw, don't forget ebay for fluorescent fixtures---good deals to be found there.

Hi Paul,

The previous poster got some of it right. But, speaking as someone that has to provide a warranty on fixtures we sell, I would say never put a flo on a dimmer as there is indeed the possibility that it could be damaged and that wouldn't be covered under a warranty. When a dimmer is needed for a flo, that is what the dimming flo versions we sell will do and very well at that. For instance, the CL-255PMD would be the dimming version of the CL-255P.
