Flo Light FB-220 or Cool Lights CL-455P?

I've got the CoolLights, 2 of them, and I' very pleased with them. Plus, you can get the owner of the company to reply to you should you have an issue. Richard (owner of CoolLights) has a long history here and has always been responsive. I'd go with the CooLights again if I had to make the choice once more. I don't think you are going to get the same service from Flolight based on comments from several users here.

Here is the first set up I ever did with these lights.

And here is what it looks like on tape.

By the way, I was debating about getting the dimming model or save money, but I got the dimming model and then was kind of kicking myself for doing it, but on my first shoot, I was cramped for space and moving the light farther away was not an option (and you make the shadows harder when you do that) so having the dimmer really helped me get it exact.

You can just use the switch and cut the power in half on the non-dimming models which will probably work just fine 9 times out of 10. But if you want to have exacting control, the dimming model gives you the most flexibility (and better re-sale value.) Buy whatever you can afford, but go with CoolLights.

FloLights is PrompterPeople. Over priced with poor customer service. Do a search on them.
You can also buy a Flolight unit direct from the factory retailer here for a whole lot less. Might be simpler to get a 6 bank selectable to avoid color shift issues from dimming.
